Liman Tesla Voda win FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu Masters 2018

CHENGDU (FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2018) - Liman Tesla Voda (SRB) won their second FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters of the season in Chengdu, China on September 29-30.

The number two 3x3 team in the world defeated Riga Ghetto (LAT) in the final (21-12) of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu Masters 2018 to win their second Masters of the season following their victory at the Utsunomiya Masters.

This marks the 4th 3x3 World Tour Masters title for Liman Tesla Voda, who took home the USD 30,000 cheque.

Stefan Stojacic won his 3rd MVP title in Chengdu after leading his team in scoring in the final with 8 points and finished the competition with 34 points in 5 games.

In the individual contests, Semen
Debda (Moscow Inanomo, RUS) won the shoot-out while Ukraine dunker star Vadim 'Miller' Poddubchenko ruled the dunk contest and earned USD 2,500 in prize money.

The 9th Masters of the season will take place in Penang, Malaysia on October 13-14, 2018.



Exciting, urban and innovative, 3x3 is inspired by several forms of streetball played worldwide and is considered the world’s number one urban team sport. Steered by FIBA, games see two teams of three players face off on a basketball half-court. 

It was played successfully for the first time in international competition at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and since then has benefited from the launch of a yearly city-based FIBA 3x3 World Tour ( and national-team FIBA 3x3 World & Continental Cups. On June 9, 2017, 3x3 was added to the Olympic Program, starting from the Tokyo 2020 Games.
