Stojacic named FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utsunomiya Opener 2022 MVP

UTSUNOMIYA (Japan) - Strahinja Stojacic was named MVP of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utsunomiya Opener on May 14-15, 2022.

The #3 ranked player in the World led Ub Huishan NE  to the win in Utsunomiya and stepped up when his team needed him the most with 13 points in the final against Princeton, including a 2-pointer for the win when the US squad was bridging the gap. He added 4 rebounds and 6 highlights in that game.

The 29-year-old also scored the game-winner, an athletic drive to the basket punctuated by a big jam in the semi-finals against Antwerp (BEL).

"Dr. Strange" led his team in player value and was 6th in the scoring charts with 29 points. The top scorer of the event was Thibaut Vervoort (Antwerp) with 40 points.
