Utrecht shock the world on Day 1 of FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utrecht Masters 2022

UTRECHT (Netherlands) - Both Amsterdam and Utrecht brought the Dutch fans to their feet on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Utrecht Masters 2022 on September 24.

THE TEAM

Local favorites Utrecht were unstoppable at home and finished the pool stage undefeated and on top of Pool B. They won their first game on this year's World Tour against Marijampole Mantinga (LTU) 21-19 and brought the house down after comfortably defeating the number 4 team in the world Antwerp (BEL), 21-11.

While everyone's eyes were on Worthy de Jong (and for a reason, the man ranked 2nd overall in scoring with 21 points and 1st in highlights), big man Hieronymus Van der List was an inside-outside threat and added 15 points.
