Hangzhou win FIBA 3x3 World Tour Constanta Masters 2023

CONSTANTA (Romania) - Vladimir Trajkovic’s game-high 8 points propelled Hangzhou (CHN) to a 12 - 21 victory against Podgorica Kodio (MNE) at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Constanta Masters 2023 on September 10.

While starting off with a loss to Antwerp TOPdesk in their opener, the team from China never looked back as they went on a winning streak, last defeating Amsterdam HiPRO in the Semi-Finals to book a clash against the miraculous Podgorica Kodio who had an incredible journey to the final all the way from the Qualifying draw.

The duo of Goran Vidovic and Trajkovic had been stellar throughout the tournament, dominating on the scoresheet. The same translated to their final matchup as Vidovic constantly found the tournament’s leading scorer in favorable spots. Dusan Samardzic generated 7 points as well as the two scorers steamed ahead early with a 6 - 12 lead, never allowing Podgorica to catch up.

Milos Jovanovic, who had been immense for the team from Montenegro, struggled to find the same offensive fire as the stifling defense from Hangzhou took its toll. It was Vidovic who drove in for the final layup to seal the victory for the Chinese side who won their first-ever Masters title in their second attempt in the competition.

Trajkovic was recognized as the MVP as he finished the tournament as top scorer with 41 points and the highest Player Value with 43.9.

In the Individual contests, Hieronymus Van Der List (Utrecht) won the Chooks to Go Shoot-Out Contest, while Piotr "Grabo" Grabowski won the Arrow Sea Trading Dunk Contest.
