Top scorers of FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023

MIES (Switzerland) - The top players on the planet produced insane scoring binges during the FIBA 3x3 World Tour 2023 as they filled up the stat sheets.

Here are the top scorers this season.

 1. Strahinja Stojacic, Ub Huishan NE (440 points; 6.8 ppg)

For the second straight season, 'Doctor Strange' came out on top and no one should be surprised. He's a 3x3 ironman having played the most games (65) on the World Tour - 7 more than teammate Dejan Majstorovic who played the next most games.

There's good reason why he won the World Tour 2023 regular season MVP because Stojacic remains the best player on the planet. He is unguardable and can score from anywhere on the half-court, including particularly loving playing above the rim.

The 31-year-old averaged 6.8 ppg and it could have been much higher if he wanted to, but all he cares about is the dub. With seven titles on the World Tour and four MVPs, we're still living in 'Doctor Strange's' multiverse.

2. Worthy de Jong, Amsterdam HiPRO (411 points; 9.3 ppg)

The greatest scoring binge ever seen in World Tour history was fittingly produced by this high-flying Dutch hoops legend. Averaging almost 10 ppg for one event is ridiculous, but imagine doing that for an entire season?

Well de Jong achieved the impossible to average 9.3 ppg in 44 spectacular games filled with jaw-dropping plays and rim-shaking slams. It's a scoring splurge that no one has ever achieved and a new standard that will be hard to top.

Although don't bet against de Jong going even one step better in 2024 and hitting the holy grail number of 10 ppg for an entire season.

3. Dejan Majstorovic, Ub Huishan NE (327 points, 5.6 ppg)

'The Maestro' continued to have the shooter's touch as he cements his legacy as 3x3's greatest winner.

The former Novi Sad superstar has inspired Ub to GOAT status and remains the heart and soul of the team. He's still a deadly sniper as his 34% from 2 indicates and he remains a stone cold assassin in the clutch - as he memorably showed by hitting the game-winner to clinch the Jeddah Final title.

Majstorovic's best performance was at his favored Prague Masters, where he racked up 43 points to win his fifth MVP at the Czech capital.

Don't bet against Dejan Majstorovic once again being 'The Maestro' on the half-court in 2024.

4. Marko Brankovic, Ub Huishan NE (294 points, 5.2 ppg)

Speak about the perfect all-round player. Because Marko Brankovic is so good at everything - particularly passing, rebounding and defending - it can be easy to forget that he can make putting the Wilson into the hoop look easy.

With Stojacic and Majstorovic often a one-two punch, Brankovic isn't always required to score but when needed he's often an automatic bucket.

The lethal lefty showed off his scoring prowess in Macau when he led the scoring charts with 34 points in a MVP performance.

5. Dennis Donkor, Antwerp TOPdesk (264 points, 6.9 ppg)

He's not just a defensive menace. This two way marvel also terrorizes opponents on offense as he has shown all season long, where he averaged almost 7 ppg to lead Antwerp TOPdesk who had lost superstar Thibaut Vervoort heading into the season.

Donkor is an athletic marvel and loves driving to the rack and drawing contact. Once he's on the line he's automatic points with Donkor having sunk 96% from the free-throw line in 2023.

Honorable mention: Jimmer Fredette, Miami ( 218 points; 7.5 ppg)

No list of 2023 would be complete without Jimmer Fredette, who was lights out in his debut season on the World Tour.

The former NBA player and college phenom brought 'Jimmer Mania' to 3x3 after shooting a crazy 44% from 2 and collecting two Masters MVPs along the way.

Fredette turned into 'Jimmer Buckets' every time he stepped on the half-court and we can't wait to see him in 2024.
